Computer Sciences Corp. agreed to a three-year contract extension of its sponsorship of a Danish cycling team that has faired well in the Tour de France. The El Segundo informational technology giant, which began sponsoring Team CSC in 2001, will continue to offer its financial support through the 2008 cycling season.
Computer Sciences pays more than $5 million annually to the team, which competes in 80 races worldwide each year. In addition to the sponsorship deal, Team CSC captain Ivan Basso extended his contract with the team through 2008. The Tour de France ends July 24.
